Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026

DeepSee is built to be private by default. Your screenshots never leave your device. This page explains exactly what that means.

Your screenshots stay on your device

All decoding — reading the words, detecting the layout, classifying the screen — happens locally in your browser using small on-device models. Your screenshot is processed in memory and immediately discarded. Nothing is uploaded, stored on a server, or transmitted anywhere.

What we don't do

Local caching

To load fast and work offline, the app and its on-device models are cached in your browser by a service worker. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time with your browser's site-data controls.

Third-party resources

The website loads standard web assets — fonts from Google Fonts and the on-device AI runtime from a CDN. Like any website, those providers see your IP address when serving static files. No screenshot content is ever sent to them.

Desktop / MCP use

If you use the DeepSee MCP server, it runs entirely on your own machine and reads only the screenshots you point it at. It makes no network calls of its own.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest version. Please check back here if you care about the details.
